Tiger Talks But Doesn't Answer Many Questions
|
|

Tiger Woods had anything but a Happy Thanksgiving. The normally super-controlled world of Team Tiger was anything but. When TMZ.com and the National Enquirer are at your doorstep, things aren't going particularly well in your life. Sportsbybrooks.com has done a good job posting continual updates on all the sordid and increasingly weird details.
You can pretend to rise above the muck but its awfully hard not to speculate. The national golf writers are certainly falling over themselves to not to offend Tiger. Sorry guys, this IS news whether you feel dirty about it or not.
Judging by the photos above, Woods was not backing out of the driveway. And it now makes sense why wife Elin smashed the back window has Tiger attempted to drive off. All the spin doctoring by Woods' IMG agency, attorneys and such doesn't minimize the speculation especially when Woods isn't offering more than the very basic details of the wreck (hard to ignore a smashed Escalade).
Essentially, here's what we have...A reported affair involving Tiger, conflicting stories by the alleged woman who then hired a high-profile attorney, the Enquirer strongly holding to their reports, conflicting stories by wife Elin about the circumstances early Friday morning, an unconscious Tiger at the scene, a refusal by Woods to meet with the police, a warrant now issued by the police to search his house, and Woods' Chevron World Championship to begin this week. Does he show? Does he talk? Does he play?
Don't underestimate the dogged reporting by the Enquirer and TMZ no matter how much Woods tries to stonewall.
Before stories of the affair surfaced, what were the odds anyone would bet a story like this involving Tiger would ever occur? And the fact Woods hasn't sued anyone yet for defamation of character may be the biggest smoking gun of all.
